Easy Sign-Up for Holocaust Restitution Claimants
New York, NY (January 23, 2008) – Klein & Solomon, LLP, launched two websites today at its Madison Avenue office to better serve the property owners, managers and developers that make up most of its clientele. The firm’s main site at www.kleinsolomon.com features insightful commentary on news of the day relating to the commercial real estate community. The site offers commercial landlords, tenants, sellers, purchasers, their agents and fellow attorneys a list of links to relevant Web sites and educational outlines used at Klein & Solomon’s seminars for industry professionals.
The firm’s second site, www.polandrestitution.com features Klein, Solomon & Urbach, LLP, a collaboration at the forefront of asset restitution and compensation litigation related to World War II and its aftermath. KSU is based in New York and Warsaw, Poland, and represents Holocaust Survivors and their heirs in property and art restitution claims. The site provides an easy way for Survivors to register and detail their claims. The Warsaw office also conducts archival research to help advance individual claims, and lobbies government representatives with regard to restitution bills making their way through the Polish Parliament.
“With these Web sites, Klein and Solomon is reaching out to two very important communities, here in New York City and across the globe,” said Edward E. Klein, the firm’s managing partner. “We are an information center for the city’s commercial real estate industry, and with our expertise in real estate and complex negotiations, we hope to alleviate some of the hardship faced by Holocaust survivors.
Klein & Solomon offers a full range of legal services to fulfill its clients’ business needs and goals. Its expertise covers all facets of commercial real estate transactions and litigation as well as the related disciplines of financing, real estate development and bankruptcy law. The firm regularly handles general commercial matters, complex commercial litigation and both commercial and residential real estate transactions.
Klein, Solomon & Urbach, along with other leading New York law firms, commenced a class action lawsuit in the Eastern District of New York against the Republic of Poland to restore property rights to victims of the Holocaust. Mel Urbach, Esq., is member of the Executive Committee in the Swiss banks litigation, and represents clients with banking, insurance, looted assets and child/slave labor claims as well as real estate claims in Poland and other countries.
